Synopsis of Hikari no Ou - The Fire Hunter The King of Light is set in the final war of mankind. The world is surrounded by the Black Forest, where humans are infected with a pathogen and burst into flames in the presence of natural fire. The only sure source of fire is obtained by hunting the Black Beast, a fire spirit that lives deep in the forest. Rumors have recently begun to spread among the fire hunters of the "Fire King" who can harvest the "Millennium Comet", an artificial star that once wandered in the void. The story revolves around Touko, a girl who grew up in a village, and Koushi, a former student in Miyako. The meeting of two people who should never meet changes the fate of the world.
